Scott DobsonProducer/Director
Scott Dobson has over 25 years of experience in award winning storytelling. Scott recently co-produced and directed the multi-award-winning short doc Fix And Release. He was a story editor for Viceland's 2019 hit show Dark Side of the Ring and for their documentary series Payday and Tattoo Age. He directed Puffin Patrol and Carpe Diem, for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s The Nature of Things. In 2012 he directed Church Of Elvis; a 3-hour look the spiritual world of Elvis Presley, and its sister show, Elvis In Love. Prior, he produced the very successful spam: The Documentary for CBC. He has directed projects for broadcasters including HG Canada, TLC Canada, PBS, Discovery Canada, CBC, and Vision TV. He has directed projects for a diverse range of clients such as , the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, RBC, ReMax, Blackberry, Volkswagen, and Polygram. As Producer/Director he created the award-winning Keep On Shucking documentary for Food TV Canada/US, produced many projects for the famed Second City in Toronto and Chicago; from TV spots, to documentaries to the critically acclaimed re-release of the beloved SCTV TV series onto DVD for the first time; a massive 4 year project. For Bravo Canada he produced 2 series exploring modern Canadian Jazz and Blues, the latter was nominated for the prestigious WC Handy Award by the Memphis Blues Society. His favourite turtle is the Wood turtle. |
Jono NemethyProducer/PM
Jono Nemethy began his career 20 years ago as an independent producer, creating his first ½ hour drama for CTV, the award winning “Shelter” at age 21. He has produced dramatic pilots for CBC, CTV and Global while based in Halifax. After moving to Europe, Jono Nemethy successfully produced and production managed dozens of commercials for an international audience. Upon returning to Canada, Jono worked extensively in feature film and then in factual television programming. Shortly thereafter, he began working with Sinking Ship where he Production Managed nearly 200 episodes of children’s television on seven different series, all in the span of one year! Jono then teamed with Lively Media on 3 documentary series for CTV/Travel Escape. He has Produced web-based commercials and series for Volkswagen, Sympatico, Proctor and Gamble, Smober Up, Johnson & Johnson; production managed a financial education/comedy series for Business News Network and television series about and for the blind for AMI, and critically acclaimed, ground-breaking documentaries about Elvis Presley. Jono has also Produced a two award winning series of stills and commercial campaigns for City of Toronto employees CUPE 79, produced 3 seasons of “Canada In Perspective”, a current affairs series and a season of the comedy series “The DJ Demers Show”, for AMI television. He is currently touring his latest documentary, “Fix and Release” about saving injured turtles, and has spent the last 3 years making the best commercials ever with OrangeMakes. His favourite turtle is the Snapping turtle. |
